She’s the Firstis a not-for-profit organization that sends girls to school around the world, so they can break barriers and become "the first" to graduate and achieve amazing goals. This year, GIRLS WHO ROCK will benefit the She's the First partner school in Uganda, the Arlington Academy of Hope.

 Arlington Academy of Hopein Uganda is more than just a school. Donors from across the USA have helped establish two health clinics, a clean water project, and scholarships for more than 200 students at various secondary schools in Uganda. AAH supports more than 18 local schools with school supplies, teacher training, sports equipment, and clothing. Through these programs, UUH have given the people of Bududa and Eastern Uganda pride and a renewed sense of purpose in their lives. What was once a sleepy and forgotten village in eastern Uganda is now bustling with new life and expectations. Kids who go to Arlington walk with a spring in their step and a smile on their face, knowing that they are receiving the best education and are supported by the best people in the world. Even kids who don't go to Arlington have a special pride - their village, their community has been the destination of many American groups, and their families have shared in the new economic opportunities that a school in their village has brought them.
